Frequently Asked Questions:

On the 9:00 AM Shuttle, you’ll enjoy a scenic drive through a few key San Francisco sights as we head toward Muir Woods, including views of the Golden Gate Bridge, and passing through areas like Little Italy, Chinatown, and Pacific Heights. On the 1:30 PM Shuttle, the ride focuses primarily on getting you to Muir Woods. However, we may make short stops for photo opportunities at iconic landmarks, such as the Golden Gate Bridge and the Palace of Fine Arts, before continuing on to Muir Woods.

Wear comfortable shoes and bring a jacket or sweater as the giant redwoods can affect the temperature in the early morning and evening. Be sure to bring plenty of water if you plan on spending a longer day in the old growth forest.

There are several popular Muir Woods hikes you can take. We’d recommend the Bridge 3 Loop, Bridge 2 Loop, or Bridge 4 Loop for easy to moderate hikes. You can pick up a Muir Woods hiking trails map at the visitor center to learn more about the various walking paths!

Both options give you up to 90 minutes to explore Muir Woods.
