Memorial Day Weekend

The un-official start of Summer (and our busiest season) is officially here!

For those who are heading out of town for the long weekend - drive safe and be sure to relax. If you are planning on staying in the area, there's still plenty to do:

1. El Techo - A great way to spend an evening overlooking the city, this Mission staple offers fresh cocktails, cold beer and delicious Latin American street food.

2. The Golden State Warriors - They are still alive! After an impressive win on Thursday, Saturday's game is do or die once again. Catch the game tomorrow at one of our favorite spots to watch -Danny Coyle's. (6pm, PST)

3. Off the Grid - Haven't been in a while? Never been? Make your way over to Picnic at the Presidio for some delicious food, refreshing drinks and a great view. Our favorites include Del Popolo and Girl Friday Zeppole.

Nob Hill

Here at Dylan's, we are always asked about of our favorite spots to go before a tour, after a tour, or during the rest of one's stay. This week's feature brings us to Nob Hill, located just south of our home here in North Beach.

MORNING:

Many of our guests enjoy a morning stroll on the way to our meeting location in Fisherman's Wharf. When passing through Nob Hill on the way, Farm:Table is a must for breakfast. Known for great service and even better coffee - be sure to try one of their delicious breakfast sandwiches.

AFTERNOON:

Take a walk through Huntington Park, be sure to make a stop at the incredible Fairmont San Francisco (if you aren't lucky enough to be staying there!). The amazing views from atop Nob Hill are extraordinary and the Tonga Room is the perfect place to grab a drink after a tour.

EVENING:

After getting your tropical fill at the Tonga Room, head over to Seven Hills for a a local, authentic Italian Meal. The homemade pasta is impressive, as is their (fairly priced) wine list. The fresh ingredients are the star here, and the staff is delightful.

North Beach

Our tip(s) of the week pay homage to the lovely neighborhood we call home. For those who don't know, North Beach is known as San Francisco's Little Italy. Not only is it home to some of the city's best pizza (Tomasso's and Tony's), but it also is home to Francis Ford Coppola's own european bistro Cafe Zoetrope, which finds its home in the beautiful Sentinel Building.

Ideal Day in North Beach:

1. Stroll through beautiful Washington Square Park, grabbing a sandwich at Petite Deli & Picnic

2. Step back in time with a cocktail at Tony Nik's Cafe - serving North Beach since 1933

3. Grab a handmade pizza at Tomasso's - the home of the west coast's first pizza oven

Saluti,
Dylan
